Can deaf humans hear their own thoughts?Deviant Audio: I meant to ask this a long time ago, and another question reminded me about it. :) Would it be possible since they have no conception of what the words would sound like? I can only guess that they think of things differently than those of us who can hear do. They don't even know the words we would be using. |

My guess is that people who were born deaf can't, but people who became deaf later in life could, but not forever. |

I have a feeling they would know the words we would be using because they aren't blind but not sure if they would be able to interpret how to properly enunciate them. Then again there are dictionaries with enunciations. Very good question though. |

They can think pictures but not actually have thoughts in their minds. Because humans learn from other humans. Babies learn to talk by hearing other talk around them. So if a deaf person cannot hear he/she will not be able to have wordly thoughts. |
