Can pure gold be molded with hands?

Hmm... Gold is supposed to be soft. But I cannot imagine molding it with gold as a wise idea. There are many other finer methods for shaping precious metals.

I don't think that it would be quite soft to enough to mold by hand unless it were fairly hot. Lead is similar, and you cannot mold that with bare hands.

You can bend gold with your hands fairly easily, but that doesn't mean you can make fine tweaks or shapes out of it with just your hands.

YES! Absolute pure gold CAN be molded with your bare hands as if it is play dough. Have you ever heard of "white gold"? It is white because yellow gold has debris that makes it appear yellow (gold) and they make it white by overheating the sample until it gets hot enough to burn up the debris. If this is done, and they add no other metals to strengthen it, it can be molded very easily with bare hands.
