Depends on how you want to think of it.

Sure, temperatures have increased in areas, but that could be due to other factors such as more people=more motion=more energy=more heat=higher temperatures. Not to mention the fact that more talking makes a warmer room and with expanded life expectancies you can expect more of that!

But at the same time, Winters are getting colder and longer.

Oh and for the people that bring up an increase of 1* F in Antartica...shut up. That is completely based on existing data and plenty of other mathematically determined variables which causes error in calculation, and is 1* over >20 years really conclusive to increasing temperatures? Not in my opinion.

We've apparently been cooling for the last three years. And for 7 before that it was steady. We're actually 7 degrees cooler than the earth was at its warmest. But the debate is over!!! Right, Al Gore?

The Earth naturally goes through warming and cooling cycles that span thousands of years...We have slightly increased the melting of polar ice with our carbon emmisions, but whether we just lived in trees and never discovered fossil fuels or we hit peak oil 20 years ago the Earth is still going through major change and we are all screwed.

Actually we are at the end of an Ice Age. The ice age ended about 12000 years ago. So as people are saying we are going through a natural cycle, or so we think based on history. The climate changes all the time, and it's hard to say whether or not our emissions are harmful the way we think they are. They certainly impact it in some way, but we are unclear how much because this is the first time in history that this has been an issue. Better to be safe than sorry though, so it is a good idea to watch our fuel usage.

Excellent answer! What I'm really curious about is if this theory of a hole in our o-zone layer is true, because that definitely can't be natural. As for what we see before our eyes, the possibility of it simply being a climate shift is perfectly feasible.

The hole in the ozone layer actually is theorized to come from CFC's that were released in the 1960's I believe, maybe 70's. It actually may have existed before, however these chemicals made it worse. They noticed it on satellite data. However it is possible it's due to natural Chlorine levels(chlorine is an ozone depleting chemical)

Yes global warming is real.
Well, unless nothing is real, but then nothing exists and answering this is pointless.
Yet, I do it anyway.
Hmm...

Either way, the planet is getting warmer = global warming.
