One reason I didn't like it, was the fact that it simply put you in the middle of a town, and didn't tell you what you could do, or where you could start anything.

You shouldn't add another answer to reply to me, you should use the comment feature.

I used to despise the game with a passion. Mainly because you have to pay to play (or so I thought) and I didn't have anyone to help me out.

I played it again this year on a free private server with boosted rates with a bunch of friends and I fell in love with the game. It's definitely a great game, just not when it's the retail version.

A lot of its patrons can be very obsessive about it. They will turn from their real life friends and have stronger connections with their online friends. I have no problems with the game itself, but I do not like how some people change their personalities when partaking in this game.

I'm not really a fan of computer games. I love video games, Xbox and PlayStation video game counsels are just the best inventions ever. One of my old friends became so addicted to World of Warcraft, all he would do is sit in his room all day for months straight. It was really scary, he turned into a douche. I don't even want to really sit down try it anymore.

Yeah controlling how much you play is a big deal. I play maybe 2 times a month.

wow for me video games are the only place that people accept me LOL so i pretty much spend all of my free time playing them :)

I personally hate the game because a guy I used to date played the game every waking second. Regardless of what I said to him he still played the game like it was his life.

For me, the only downside is that it's ruthlessly addictive. :O

I have WoW, played it over periods of my life, now a mate I met in real life also plays it and got me back into it... I don't mind paying, the reason being is that Blizzard have made a game worth the money, WoW is one of the most popular PC games and they deserve the credit.

About the addicting part, well playing WoW does not mean you will be 100% addicted to it, I mean I am 18 years old... I go to college, still give myself plenty of time to complete my assignments and work to get the best grades possible. Also the friend that got me back into WoW, knows a lot about training and fitness, so now alongside playing WoW with my new mate, my mate also helps me to train and up my fitness and strength in the real world...

So the addiction levels all really depend on the person who plays it, if your weak minded then of course, you will end up killing your mind and just forgetting that you even live in real life... But then there are people like me who can manage their game time in WoW and Real life.

It's a bit like Facebook, e.g. I know people who cannot get their hands off it, they spend day and night on facebook for no reason, updating their status to the most useless information.. chatting away... texting... So using Facebook and all these electronic methods of communication is the same as being addicted to WoW...

That's my opinion and my observation... But this truely is an interesting topic, because a lot of the population believe WoW is terrible and is the worst thing that could happen, oh you play it and your soul is dead... That is just a biased and one sided opinion because they do not look at other scenarios and consider other peoples opinions.

My final say is that, if your addicted to WoW, well there is only one thing I could say to you, THAT IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT... do not blame Blizzard, do not blame their prices, do not blame the game itself, do not blame your friends and do not blame your parents if they let you play... It was your own choice to play it and your own choice not to get off it. IT should always be like this GET ALL YOUR JOBS DONE FIRST, MAKE SURE YOU SPEND SOME TIME WITH MATES, DO SOME GOOD DEEDS, THEN YOU HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD FOR WOW, then rinse and repeat everyday... WoW and any form of gaming should be done after all jobs are complete... otherwise you will get into arguments with your family, your friends will socialise with you less and so on...

but in the end for me! WoW is one of my best and favourite games! Loving it! Cannot wait for Mists of Pandaria! ^_^

The onlyreason people are obsessed with WoW is because it's a fun game! Some younger kids feel like crying when their parents cut them off, because it's an awesome game! Not tomention, it's online, so you end up setting up events with people, and setting goals in the game. The other day, i tried as hard as i could to get to level 55 so i could create my first death knight. By the end of the day, i my subscription expired, and i got kicked off at level 54 with 99% experienced. I haven't had time torenew my subscription, so i can't play right now. Today, i'm in the middle of wishing i could go back t Azeroth, and kicking myself for how close i was.
