Something like a navy blue, beige, or any dark color should do the trick. Definitely stay away from bright colors, like a bright red, yellow, or green. |

The idea is to place yourself in a calming situation without vibrant colors. Take any color, for example, and de-saturate it 50% you'll get something more smoothing. Here are examples of muted tones: |

As Ecto5 says, muted tones are typically what can make you feel sleepy. As they lack the vibrant effect, they will not be so overstimulating. |
