Why is it when people think of a future or futuristic setting for mankind, the tech is always amazing, but the medical advancements are limited to cloning and curing all diseases and cancer?

god: I can only think of one movie/anime where they put thought into healing/repairing advancements in the future, and its set in the past(StarWars)

I think it might be that way because creating a system to repair/produce cells at an extremely fast rate would seem a lot more difficult to create than a hovercraft. I'm guessing because it'd be dealing with living things really, which makes things a lot less likely in quite a number of minds.

I was thinking about how they come up with insanely complex methods of transportation, like hyperspace, but they don't take the time to come up with a concept for rearranging blank organic material or even base elements. I dunno... It just seems like it slips people's minds when thinking of the future.

Movies are nothing but fantasy and propaganda.

Even those that are supposed to be biographical usually have a heavy dose and lean toward the religous/political positions of the director/producer/distribution house.

If there is a financial backer that wants to introduce a product they'll make a stylized movie about it.
Or maybe they want to present a certain political/religous position out comes a movie.

When spinning fantasies what is better than promoting to people that in the future those other people making a living off the chemical medical field will find a magic pill or procedure that will end all your suffering and pain.

It's not very profitable to market ideas and ways to live that make people healthy and self-sufficient.

I never think that. I envision a future that is part Road Warrior and part Cannibal Holocaust. In about 60 years we'll see who is right.
