I heard that driving with your windows up will increase gas mileage by 10%.

Driving with your windows up helps, as it creates less drag. Also, use cruise control when you can, as that also helps with it.

Not really. It actually uses more gas unless you're on pretty much flat surfaces without any traffic.

Change your oil every 3,000 miles. Change your air filter every 7,000 miles. Fill up before you get to empty, it is bad for your engine.

You can get over 5000 if you use Synthetic (not to mention they keep the engine cleaner). Good investment.

Simple; Buy a vehicle rated with the best gas mileage.

Don't accelerate like an ass hole. The faster you accelerate, the more gas you burn.

Yeah just stay in the low RPMs. =] It's been known that you can get like 80mpg on a motorcycle if you don't rev up too much.

Switch off the air-conditioning.

That actually doesn't do much. It's a very small difference. You can't drive around town with your windows up and the air conditioning off in the summer. You'll waste more gas by keeping the windows down than by running your AC.

Supposedly moth balls will help if placed in your gas tank.
