Do you think it is the end of Star Wars?

Kenbo: I think there is a good chance the answer is yes, but I'm hoping there is going to be more of Star Wars. I love Star Wars so much. I have to comment on that I dont't like old Star Treck. Sorry bobbo, but Star Wars is better. lol. And, I have to admit that the new Star Treck movie was awesome.

I hate Star Wars. I hope it ends.

What do you mean "the end of star wars"?

There have been books written since the original release (I think. There have at least been books constantly coming in the 20 years of MY life). I am reading a book involving Luke Skywalker, his son, Han and Leia and their children.

As to whether Star Trek or Star Wars is better, I am actually a huge fan of both, I use to claim Star Wars was the best, but as I've gotten older I like Star Trek a bit more.

I think its the end for a good while. My guess is they will make a Trilogy in another generation or so. like how the first and second trilogies were spaced out.

I do have to express my concern though. There is a lot of literature on the time after 4, 5, and 6. I wonder if Lucas (or his successor) will pretend they don't exist, or work around them. Or maybe they will go further in the future, ahead of the books. So as not to piss too many fans of the books off.

There are supposed to be three more movies in the series, following Return of the Jedi. Whether or not that will ever happen is up in the air.

Yeah, I have heard the "trilogy of trilogies" theory since I was 6. A few years before I even heard talk of Episode One.

Though someone told me Lucas said he wouldn't be doing another movie. But even with that possibility he could be handing it off to a new director :P Maybe JJ Abrams? haha

Supposedly they are making a movie based off of the Vader's apprentice story, but I've not heard anything about it in a long time, so maybe that was just a rumor?
