Do you think people are too addicted to television, computers and the like?

bobbonew: There is a really intersting [link name=Onion article]http://www.theonion.com/content/news/report_90_of_waking_hours_spent[/link] which I agree with wholeheartedly. People need to learn to think for themselves. Your opinions?

I think that people are way to addicted to television and computers. We all rely on these technologies way to much. I admit I am addicted to computers, but not so much television. Television sucks these days, all I watch are sports, South Park and Family Guy. I do know people who are very much addicted to television, and they watch it like it is their job, very sad.

I agree, people are addicted. Heck, I'm addicted! I'm like Kenbo, not so addicted to television, but computers. I guess I just started getting on the computer one day, maybe for useful information, I don't know, but ever since, I hardly get off.

I'm incredibly addicted. I can easily survive without the Internet, but if granted the ability, I'd stay on for even days at a time.

I can proudly say that I have not seriously watched television in four years, and in this time I noticed beyond a shadow of a doubt that the majority of humanity is obsessed with these technologies. I find it bothersome as most of what is obsessed over has no significance, value, or purpose.

I enjoy anime, movies, and some cartoon series just as much as the next person, but general television programming is not for me. At best it makes me gain stupidity exponentially. At worst, it makes me feel depressive and pitying toward the rest of humanity.

I think its just kind of a crutch, for me I hate when I catch myself just checking my phone whenever Im not doing anything, I could be doing much more constructive things with my time.
