Will the iPhone ever move to another cell phone network?

Kenbo: Or will it stay with AT&T forever?
I love the iPhone and I want to own one one day.
I am stuck with Tmobile for another 2 years. But that is ok because I love my G1, it has a keyboard which I need.

Its not likely, but there are plenty of other versions of the i-phone available for different networks, they're just other types of touch screen phones though..

I'm pretty sure Apple did one of those contract commitments with AT&T.

I hate the iPhone. Just another ploy by Apple to steal consumers' money without them knowing any better. New iPhone? What a joke, all it does is something that can be done via software hack on all the older models.

Have you ever even had an iPhone to hate it? They're amazing.

Yes, I have, and it sucks. I've also had experiences with about 5 other people that can't stand the phone itself (that's 5 out of about 7, by the way).

Nearly everyone I've spoken to (and in my own personal experience) is that the phone is a hassle. Everyone loves the application options, but they hate the phone itself.

It's simple, really: Battery life sucks, any simple fixes need to be sent in to Apple to be done, memory cannot be taken out or exchanged, OS is a pain in the ass/klunky to use, lack of proprietary keyboard sucks, touchscreen is average at best, lacks video feature despite lens being capable, stuck using $30/month data plan, the list goes on.

Yeah, people get all excited about the iPhone because they love all the applications it has, so they look beyond all of its obvious flaws and shortcomings. Ultimately you're paying up the ass for a bunch of user-made applications.

Being a former employee of at&t, the iphone is a joke. It is a good paper weight. Your right. You cannot opt out of that 30.00 plan and it costs you money to update the software through apple. Though like my blackberry storm, you will not get the full potential out of the phone unless you use custom firmware and software. Other than that your looking at a waste of money. You cannot even insure them through asurion or an outside electronics insurance agency. You could always unlock it and sell it for a handsome 800.00 to 1000.00 to some sap seeking it on another network =].

If I had to guess, probably not.
