Is there any proof that black holes exist?Kenbo: Comment Kid has explained that no-one has proven they exist. That they are just a hypothesis/theory, and no factual evidence. So, I am confused because I don't know much about them. And I would love to know about them. Anyone know any proof or facts? |

A science is all strictly theories and hypotheses. There is evidence, but it is only ever utilized to support, never to prove. In all honest, even gravity is not a factual thing. Sure, it is seemingly there, but you cannot exactly prove it. This works for all things, which is why there are nihilists roaming about. Oh, but I cannot proof or facts of that. Merely I hold speculation on the matter. |

No one has proven anything exists.

There are a lot of things nobody has proven. That is why I like math and not science. |

There is plenty proof of black holes. Most are spotted using gravitational lensing techniques. |

The current theory is that large stars collapse all of their remaining matter(after spending so much of their fuel they lose grip on some of their mass and become giants).
The force at which this matter collapses causes it to compile all really close together.
The next closest thing is probably a neutron star, when the star collapses all of the mass comes together at such speed and force the electrons or the elements that had made up the star are forced into the nuclei and into the protons.
