Who is more into video games, men or woman?

Kenbo: I think definitely men. But women, here is your chance to defend your love of the game. Details please.

Don't get me wrong. I love a bit of mauly on Halo 3 and I can see why the girls aren't into it. But since I got a Wii I have noticed how much more sociable it is. There is much more range for the females out there now. Anyway, men ah guess...

Probably men, though I'd say females are carving their niche these days. I think the market is aiming for just that.
I've personally kind of outgrown them for the most part.

I have addiction problems to video games but I don't know many females who are as obsessed as I am, but they are out there.

I think once you break down video games into the subcategories it's very interesting.

Systems wise guys like xbox more than chicks and I know more females who enjoy the wii. Alot of girls love guitar hero, rockband, gta and come on lets not forget about final fantasy so I'm not sure about the playstation systems. The computer category is pretty much tied for none web games. I think more men enjoy fighting and melee games while I know alot of girls who are Sim obsessed. I def think more girls like the sim games than guys. Web wise there is WOW which is mostly men but apparently alot of chicks do that weird avatar thing but i don't know enough about the avatar thing to make a judgment call.

Super Nintendo is defiantly won by the female population. Yes a lot of girls still play super nintendo, especially since you can now get most of there games for your wii. Arcade games are defiantly girls too. I know a lot more tetris and ddr chicks than dudes. I think RPG games like zelda are tied. Paper Mario and banjo-kazooie however is def a women won category.

But Wow, Halo, the orange box games and call of duty are really male driven and have huge fan bases. So while during the sim and final fantasy days I think it may have been tied if not very close in today's standings I think the men come out on top thanks to the web.

Well I'm a girl and I LOVE video games.. I think it just depends on the game and the person. I think some girls just don't play b.c they don't want to seem "manly". Gears of war is my fav game of ALL TIME!

Gears of War ftw!

I really liked Broncobert's answer. I would agree with most of what he said. As a girl, I think it is fairly accurate.

But there are the few girls on the outside of the bell curve that enjoy the fighter games.

Everyone has the same potential to love video games, its just certain personality types that have different loves of gaming is all.

Men, it's just something that seems more attached to them.
