Is it possible to block a bullet with a sword?

It depends on the gun that the bullet came from, and the sword.
If you're trying to block a sniper rifle bullet with a katana, forget about it.
But blocking, say a cop's gun's bullet with this thing, then I'd say it's possible, but very, very, VERY hard.

	The bullet/sword combo doesn't really matter because bullets are a big chunk of metal compared to swords which are very sharp at the tip and swords are made out of high quality steel and such whereas bullets are just made out of rubbish metal practically. And since the bullets are so stumpy it makes them easier to split.

Yep, it's possible. It was proven on this show called MANswers which is, in my opinion, the best show ever. Basically they proved that if a bullet was shot at a sword the bullet would split right in half. But then again, it would be almost impossible to actually do that lol.

	problem is on that show, it split apart and kept on going. The weilder of the sword would have just got show two two smaller bullets instead of one larger one.

In general ....of course a sword can block a bullet.

The question only gets questionable when speaking about certain types of swords against certain types of bullets.

For instance a BB gun won't pentrate a Claymore sword very often.
But a 100mm tank round will utterly destroy it everytime.

So to answer your question better and have a lot more fun doing it
Go buy some swords and some guns and start shooting.

Check this out. Naturally, the act of someone slicing a bullet in half is pure fiction - though if they manage it by some fluke, they'd be shot regardless according to the video. They would simply have 85% of a bullet inside them. XD
