Is it true that if you put a penny on a railroad track and a train runs over it that the penny will be squashed to half dollar size?felixthecat: I have always heard this, but have never had the opportunity to try this. |

Half dollar size, no, but it will be quite flatter and wider. As a 'ute, I tried it on everything from light rail to mile-long freights. |

well it does get sorta squished but it also becomes elongated so it's more like an oval, how much it gets squished depends on the size of the train. Get a good sized freight train and you can really flatten them out. |
