Which type of heatsink would have better heat conductivity: Aluminum or Copper?

knewk: I'm considering doing a custom hardware modification of a PC, which material of a heatsink would have my box running cooler?

copper has a higher coefficient of thermal conductivity, so it would absorb more heat. That said, it would also release more heat.

Anyways, copper is the common material used and probably for good reason.

Copper is the superior metal. Aluminum is junk. Everytime something goes wrong around here its because some cheapskate tried to save ten cents by using aluminum instead of copper.

Aluminum is one of the most useful metals out there. =/

True, but for purposes of electricity and conductivity, copper is superior.
