Do you think the 200-300 volts of "life electricity" constantly present in our bodies could be the soul?

No. The soul is not a physical thing, and therefore has no weight.

Good point. Not physical, no weight.

But how do you explain that in the moment we die & our brain stops transmitting we lose that ounce of weight?

Maybe its the bladder & bowel release?
But even atoms have a minute amount of mass... IDK now you got me thinking...

This notion is based upon a severely flawed experiment conducted in 1911. The weight loss has been demonstrated, repeatedly and over the years, as being due to evaporative water loss and expelled air. The mass of the electrons in the human body involved with electricity is so small that it would be practically impossible to even measure them with today's technology.

This was a more recent experiment done in Japan I believe...

Well, what you BELIEVE has so much bearing.

It does not matter if the Japanese conducted a similar experiment and concluded that electricity or a soul has escaped the body. All the electricity in the human body would never add up to 21 grams- the electricity may disappear, but that is weightless. The electrons would not vanish, but are essentially immeasurable mass or weight-wise.

No, that is just a myth anyway, promulgated by those who need science to provide their beliefs with legitimacy.

I always thought the soul was metaphysical, rather than physical.

It could explain why when paranormal activity occurs, investigators use electricity monitering devices.

Another good point.

Thanks for the input!
