Do you buy games for the computer or for consoles?

Parasyte: I'll buy games for PC only if it's only available on the PC. If it's for consoles, I'll get it there.

With the exception of GTA:SA, which I have for PS2 and PC.

This basically, Im not a fan of the controls for most PC games anyway.

I like games for all sorts of play formats. Certainly I am a large fan of The Sims PC series, and I have a few other various games that I used to play when I was younger. Then there are games for hand-held systems, which offers a different sort of game play than PC games can give. But there is still more different gaming features available when using a console. Each device allows certain simulation to occur and different forms of interaction, furthermore this is varied from one system and game to the next. I think in order to get a versatile amount of game play, then you should be open to all forms. Preference will always exist among gamers, but that does not mean you should rule a game out immediately because it does not fit your typical style.

The only thing I am not particularly fond of is internet games. The paying per month is annoying since the moment you stop paying the account that was yours goes back to the internet company, things previously accessible become inaccessible, and let's face it you are basically on a permanent renting system that if it is considered "constantly expanding" actually just means the game system is glitchy and will need to be continually monitored and patched.

Not RuneScape. If you don't want to pay, you don't have to. You get less features, though.

For just about the entire time that I played (I may start playing again, too) I was a Pay2Play character. And now that I'm not anymore, I can still get on, yet I don't have to pay. With less features, of course.

Lulz, Runescape.

...Runescape? Who would pay for a game that has no point and terrible graphics? You'd be crazy, it's not even worth playing for free frankly. At least WoW is a good game with plenty of raiding and quests and all. And the graphics don't look like they're a poorly made N64 game.

I have played Runescape briefly. It is not particularly interesting and there seems to be a large number of trolls and n00bs inhabiting that web game, saying things like,"PLOX FREE STUFF PLOX". It has features and a setup similar to other games, but they have better graphics. It makes for a good waste of time, has some interesting quests, and the evil Bob the cat is somewhat amusing. What is the most annoying aspect though is that you can only access some of the training levels unless you pay as well as only use certain weapons. Also the lag can sometimes be absurd. Not to mention the fact that they changed the trading system making it difficult to deal with, and while the market for selling things, like christmas and party hats, is completely jacked in prices and ought to have a stronger control put on it.
I did get a kick out of finding bots, reporting them, and getting them banned.

I play EVE. When one of the kids played Runescape, I played too and was made a mod. The game was fun, but there was a lot to dislike about it too.

Do not get me wrong, I am not trying to drag down Runescape as a horrible game. There are by far worst games. All games have some problems and errors. I just find that internet games tend to hone more than other games, Runescape happens to be a good example of a game that could use a lot of improvement. If people enjoy it, and they do I know they have pretty decent daily numbers, then that is fine. But I think there are better games to be enjoyed that are worth paying for, and I do not like making monthly payments on a game just as I detest EA trying to get me to pay extra cash to have more sim character and house items in my game. I am not wasting five buck on a couple of shirts and paintings they did not put in the original game, it is a waste when I can find perfectly good, and free CC.

I agree- there are worse games, and $5 a month is less than many other pay by month games. I disliked certain aspects, like the Santa hat fiasco, and dumbing down certain aspects of the game to make it more under-13 friendly.

I agree with ya' there, it certainly shouldn't have so many under 13 aspects, but I still do enjoy it sometimes.

I also agree with Nugget when she said there were many trolls and n00bz, but the n00bz are what make the game funny.

Me and my friend once made a character just to annoy people and get him banned. It was so fun bypassing the censor and insulting people.

I buy them for the consoles. I have never really bought one for the computer.

I did play Runescape, though. It was alright to a point, but when you run out of stuff to do, you don't see what's so great about leveling up for the sake of it.
