Well in the most simplest kind of debate on whether gaming is good or bad, I would have to say its quite good. When gaming you have the ability to relax and just unwind. Due to these basic principles that gaming gives you, I have to say its good.

Who doesn't like to sit back and place some halo killing some people?

I think gaming is definitely good. I think gaming is very educational, fun and brings friends and family together.

What about forming a rebuttal for the people that only use cases such as the recent GTA IV related attack (not quite sure where that was) and the 17 (?) y/o that killed his parent(s) over not being able to play Halo?

Nagare,

I'm not quite sure which GTA IV attack you are pointing to...it seems that when something goes wrong people always look for a scapegoat instead of simply admitting they are the ones who caused the problem. These kids have bigger problems however outside of playing violent video games.

An interesting point to make to refute claims that video games cause violence in kids is that it is then in the hands of the parent to control their child. If the parent is well informed about particular games and they teach their kid some responsibility and the ability to separate reality from fiction then the kid should have no trouble not killing a bunch of people and blaming it on a video game.

Gaming = Win.

Bad parents = lose.

If your kid is the proverbial "bad apple" its probably your fault(parents).

Gaming in moderation is the key, which can be said for most things in life.

Gaming isn't bad as long you play it in moderation my mom sets a time limit and if i go over it, it's subtracted from my time the next day and I'm allowed to break up my time.
