I admit, I would love to get one. However, researching it, it may not be the best choice. Apparently the tattoo ink itself has been under suspicion of being a carcinogen (carcinogens cause cancer!).

Tattoos themselves are notorious for scarring the skin, and if your aim is to have a completely invisible tattoo this will deter it. Debris also can come into contact when doing the tattoo, which under normal circumstances is overwritten by standard tattoo colors. This doesn't happen when using invisible ink.

Also, these tattoos are also harder to get done. They constantly have to be viewed under UV light to ensure they are going ok, and if you have an unskilled artist you may get screwed.

You don't have to get invisible ink though, there is ink that just intensifies when exposed under UV light, which also sounds cool. I think I'll get one when they get more mainstream and are deemed safe.

Holy crap that is amazing. I'd never get one, though. I never planned on getting a tattoo in the first place, and these are more dangerous, as you said, and also more expensive, but dang, that is awesome.

I think those a really tacky. Tacky just like the pieces of clothing that glow especially bright under UV lights. Or those little plastic glowing stars and comets you can buy a pack of for a couple dollars. Oh, those are just terrible. It makes me sad to think that these will "catch on" and become "mainstream" someday.

I would get one.

Interesting, but I would prefer getting the regular kind.

No I would not get one of these tattoos. I prefer the "old" method where everyone can see the ink on my skin.
