What is the best cell phone in the market today?

Kenbo: I'm due for a new phone soon. I have had the T-moible G1 for 2 years. I can't decide to wait for the G2 or go with the My Touch, or iphone, or the incredible.... What do you think is the best phone out there? Why?

Incredible. Go. Now. Don't even ask why. Just get it.

I would wait for late November/December. In October, Windows Phone 7 will be unleashed so by that time you will be able to decide on the best available from that OS as well. There should also be some new Palm hardware out.

In my opinion, webOS is the best mobile OS available right now, it just doesn't have the greatest App Market although that is changing because 'big' titles like Angry Birds are being ported (before Android!). With the power of HP behind them, webOS should be able to grow (2.0 should be coming before 2011 with even better multitasking features!).

Android is only growing so rapidly because of the openness and ease. To me, it seems like it will be the next Windows Mobile story, starting strong then failing due to immense fragmentation and lack of updates for past models.

The iPhone is (currently) restricted to just AT&T (in the US) but the 4 looks great. If you care the most about your music and apps, go with this one.

Windows Phone 7 is a completely new OS by Microsoft that is coming out before the holiday season. The UI looks PHENOMENAL! I am waiting for that to come out because I firmly believe it will do well, especially due to the heavy Xbox Live and Zune integration.

Of course, since you've got the G1, you should be familiar with the Android OS. The G2 will come out soon enough and it only seems like the logical next step. The Incredible is supposed to be a great phone though.
