i have a popping in the front of my throat where there is no bones. it is painful need help

kimwilson6576: on occasion over the last 5 plus years there is a pop in the front of my throat, yes, i checked the anatomy of the throat and know there is no bones there,but when this happens i have to push on the area until i can hear and feel a pop. i cannot swallow until this pop happens. i can still breath. it usually takes me pushing on the area until i feel this popping sensation. and it takes anywhere from 2 to 10 seconds for the poppping feeling(like a bone has just been pushed back into place) to happen so i can swallow again. i am a female with no tonsils and no voice problems. what in the world is up. this is painful and the pain can last from minutes to days depending on how long it takes before i can get this problem fixed. any help out there
