Feedback on Notifications?

bobbonew: Just now we launched our new notifications feature on Questional. You should give your browser a nice refresh so you have all of the sites new files.

You should notice a new icon next to your member panel, that is where the notifications come from. When you have a new notification, a red box appears with the number of new notifications you have. Once you click the icon it will clear you new notification count.

To the right of the member panel link I have the number "2" on it's own without the red box you've spoken of?

	To the left of member panel, there should be a "!" with a number next to it. Hit refresh and you should be fine.

Yes Kenbo is correct. We've updated the site files that you already have cached in your browser. These files update every few pages, but a refresh will cure it immediately. I will look into forcing them to update so this will not occur in future upgrades, sorry for the confusion. :)

<EDIT> The site is now forcing a new version of the core files to re-upload; this unique problem will never happen again.

	Thanks bud! Yeah facebook is quite a good tool, there is no reason why we can't learn a thing or to from them. Quite efficient. And expect major upgrades to it as well. I want to group similar notifications together if three people comment on something, as well as giving updates on if you have favorited a question. Be on the look out for that stuff quite soon. :D

The notifications feature is brilliant, and it'll be even more helpful when the site gets a lot more traffic and questions will tend to get lost in the shuffle.

Hey guys notification was down for approx 30 mins but is now back up. Sorry for the inconvenience. Apparently it wasn't taking into account smaller browser resolutions, but it is now fixed. If you were having problems with it yesterday it should now show up in the appropriate place. (There goes 6.5 hours of my life haha).
