When are all the cable channels going digital?

Was February 17 but now pushed back due to a large amount of people not having the Converter box.

Current date: June 12, 2009.

Broadcast Television is supposed to go digital by 2-17-09, but it was pushed back to June 12. Cable TV will not necessarily be digital. for instance my cable is still analogue and will probably stay that way for quite awhile.

Cable companies are not subject to the "digital" switch.Your basic cable channels 2-79 will stay analog for quite a while.Digital cable channels (anything above ch 100) are digital but not necessarily HD.Based on the amount of time it has taken to switch broadcast channels to digital,It will be a long time before the cable companies go all digital.Demand will be the only pressure that forces them improve their product.
