Is there going to be a good phone application were a person can speak and the phone types the text for you?

Answers

I doubt it. For that to work properly it would need to be able to decipher context clues and all that nonsense.

But if they thought it would sell, the companies would more than likely release a half-assed version.

Actually, something like that could actually happen. It's basically the same as talking to your computer, which is a common thing now. Every now and then, I'll use my voice to make a text document, so I assume a phone could do that, too.

Sounds interesting but due to accents and other shit, doesn't seem very possible.
