Questional.com was developed to be used as an open community where your questions can finally get answered directly.
We believe in simplicity and the notion that there has never been a question asked that could be considered bad or unanswerable. Every question in life deserves an answer and we provide the means for that pursuit. Our goal is to create an open and accepting community that can learn and grow from each other while satisfying each individuals' curiosity and interest.
Every member of our staff is dedicated to making sure your time spent on Questional.com is efficient and educational. Any spam content or half answers will be taken care of by us immediately so your experience will always be a clean and professional one. We are a serious minded company and know our community is as well.
So he figured, why not create a Question and Answer website that is free from all of those character flaws? Create a direct Q & A website that is actually easy to use, and one where spam is not tolerated in any situation. Create an environment free from prejudice and hatred, one where the free exchange of information can occur.
Questional then went into production that October (2008). Recruiting several friends for help in prepping the site, Kenny (Kenbo), Amanda (Pandabear), Sher (Sherbear) went at it. Questional was able to be released roughly four months later on February 9th, 2009. At this point, Questional had no comments system, no notifications, and answers weren't even appearing on the home page.
We noticed that this wasn't just a simple ask a question, get an answer website. Questional was capable of sustaining a wonderful community! The comments feature that was put in release week opened up the doors for extra information. Some users may not exactly have an answer to the question, but may want to comments the question or the answer with a valuable life experience fact.
Questional came a long way the next few months, and we've picked up quite a few members since then. We realized our current setup couldn't accomodate extreme growth, or even that much growth at all. So version 2 of the site's software went into production in late July of 2009, and launched Sept 16th, 2009. This new version would let the site grow to an enormous amount, as well as utilize more web 2.0 features (AJAX).
Questional is a rich website with varied Questions that come with direct Answers. No more looking through search engines when you want to know how something works or if you would look with that hair cut! Questions come with images to illuminate your question and give it depth, tags to link everything together, and the ability to comment whatever portion of the question you wish.
Questional also has a large team of writers producing rich literature in the form of blogs and interviews. Blogs are factual and information literary pieces, whereas interviews are direct Q & A with interesting tech + science individuals. Also on the horizon are Question and Answer sessions with some of your favorite celebrities, figure heads, and even professionals and scientists.
