Moonrise: That's probably unlikely, to be honest. I imagine it has more to do with how much fat your body is storing than how "healthy" you actually are. When your body isn't getting the calories it needs to survive, it breaks down your body fat for sustenance instead.

Moonrise: Die quickly as in distance they travel. Speed makes them more damaging (gives them the energy they actually have). The point is that we're able to detect a mass amount of gamma rays coming and can prepare, especially if we take preventative cautions.

Lead is capable of shielding gamma rays. Thickness depending on the sheer amount of rays may be an issue.

Life of gamma rays was mistaken, however. I was thinking of beta particles.
