As NASA Stalls on Mars, China and Russia Test the Waters

As NASA's Mars rover stalls out on Mars, China and Russia proceed with their own plans to undertake a joint mission to Mars. China's space program, rapidly growing over the past several decades, signed an official partnership with Russian Prime Minister Vladamir Putin in 2009. Now, in 2011 they make good on their pact and will launch a Chinese designed satellite into orbit around Mars in late 2011.

NASA In Jeopardy: Has Presidential Policy Killed NASA?

Has Presidential policy killed NASA? The future of space flight at NASA is as uncertain as the health of our Discovery space shuttle. Both seem to be fragmenting. NASA technicians can repair the Discovery but will they be able to salvage NASA?

Suffering from disaster, chaos and public disinterest, NASA needed a booster shot in 2004. What they got a was a booster rocket. As the saying goes, "With treatment- symptoms worsen."

If you could travel to another planet, but never return to Earth, would you do it?

bobbonew: It takes a lot of money, time and resources to travel to other planets in our solar system. A lot of talk over the years has been over whether we should send a crew of astronauts on a one way mission to Mars.
