I recently purchased a Bamboo Fun! Tablet, by Wacom for drawing, and photo manipulation. It works great except 1 thing bothers me. How the heck does the pen and mouse work without batteries?

clarkb16: I figured the mouse would have a nib or something but its flat. On top of that the pen can work from up to 3mm away from the actual surface of the bamboo pad, as can the mouse. so It doesnt need to touch to move the mouse pointer. I think it might be magnets b/c neither the pen or the mouse take b... (2 answers)
